Summer Camp in Istanbul for Juniors (Under 18 Ages)

Istanbul is indeed a magnificent city, encompassing the ancient and the modern. It amazes with its mosques and churches, with palaces and castles. It is a place where worlds and empires collide, clustered around the timeless Bosphorus Strait.
You can wonder at its ancient history and heritage. Some of the most revered and famous places are the Blue Mosque, The Hagia Sofia Church, Dolmabahce Palace, the Basilica Cistern, Beylerbeyi Palace. Visit the Archaeological Museum, browse through the art galleries or stroll through the Grand Bazaar.
The people are warm and welcoming. During the evenings you can catch traditional dancing and sample local dishes or enjoy a barbeque. The Belgrad Forest is known as the lungs of Istanbul, maybe because it flanks the metropolis of Istanbul. The Summer School Program not only improves the English language proficiency of young students, but also creates a pleasant summer holiday for students from different cultures.
During the Summer Camp session, students will improve their social skills, social responsibility, learn about ecology and increase environmental awareness and improve leadership skills. Students will return home as self confident and English language experienced young people.
One of ATA summer camp's main missions is to create a free exchange of cultural and intellectual ideology between all participants in this increasingly globalised world of communication technologies.
At first glance our institution may seem to be focused primarily on English education. In addition to this globally important element, along with whatever special subject you may be pursuing, we also strive to improve participants self-reliance, adaptation and cultural awareness in the calm and meditative environment of our self contained campus, where this soon becomes a reality.
English Courses
Summer school students will attend 15 hours per week both in the classroom (utilizing traditional course methods) as well as attending out of class activities (utilizing real world situational learning encounters) with teachers, group leaders and new friends.
All teachers are native English speaker.
Also offered are intensive programmes for students who want to maximize classroom learning time in the classroom on campus to complement their out of class activities.
Accommodation
Residence
Students will reside, relax and socialize in the Residence. Each room comes equipped with a bathroom and comfortable new beds.
All rooms are comfortably furnished with air conditioning, en suite bathrooms, internet, wi-fi, games room, classrooms and activities rooms, spacious dining room where all meals are served buffet style, lounge for evening relaxation, large communal TV,projecter screens, inside/outside swimming pool with lifeguard, 24 hour security, cleaning and servicing of rooms
Students are grouped by age and English level:
9-10-11, 12-13, 14-15 and 16-17 in same gender groups.
Rooms:
Shared, 2 - 3 students in a room
Daily Menu
All meals served buffet style and eat as much as you like!
Breakfast: Choice of boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, sausage, ham, buttered toast, choice of ham, yellow cheese, feta cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, olives, assorted cereals with fresh milk, yoghurt, fruit conserves, fresh fruit, pastries, croissants, choice of English tea, coffee, cocoa, herbal tea and fruit juice
Lunch: Choice of salads, vegetables, pasta or rice dishes, meat, chicken or fish, assorted pizza, burgers, potato chips, sauteed potatoes, fresh fruit, cakes, pastries, fruit juice, mineral water, herbal tea
Afternoon Snack: Fresh fruit, crackers, biscuits, crisps, mineral water
Dinner: Stewed vegetables, salads, fish, meat or chicken dishes, rice, steamed or risotto, boiled potatoes, mashed or fried, fruits, ice cream, fruit juice, mineral water
Supper: Savoury pastries, pizza, cakes, fruit, cocoa, milk, herbal tea
ATA summer camp has an impressive campus with an area of 33.000 square meters in the center of a beautifully green, forested area. All classrooms come equipped with the latest technological equipment.
Activities
We are set to make sure leisure time is fun and healthy. Football, basketball and volleyball courts are readily accessible on our campus. We also offer a beautiful, large infinity pool, which can be seen upon entrance into the school campus. These are great, fun social activities that students can access during their spare time and interested students are invited to attend any or all of our many scheduled and fun tournaments.
On Friday nights, students will enjoy parties, age-appropriate movies and other fun activities that create a colorful and entertaining camp atmosphere. Students will make wonderful memories that they will never forget.
